Golden Globe Re-Cap
Last night was the 2011 Golden Globes Awards Show and as always, the stars came prepared - to either make the Best or Worst Dressed list. Here are my picks for Best and Worst - starting with the Worst so we can round off with the Best.
Nicole Kidman: The dress isn't TERRIBLE but what the heck is the pin thing on her shoulder? Horrible horrible horrible.
Natalie Portman: This was your night to shine. You WON Best Actress - and you show up in this? Does anyone else think the rose makes the dress look cheap? And I know she's pregnant, but wear something more flattering...ok thanks. You have your second shot at the Academy Awards next month.
Michelle Williams: Burn this dress. This is the worst dress I have see in a very, very long time. Never should floral patterns of this dimension be present at an awards show. Period.
Helena Bonham Carter: Although this dress is heinous, at least the pattern is semi-decent compared to Michelle Williams' dress...I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still God awful and the mismatching shoes are borderline embarrassing, but at least she knows she dressed like an idiot and owns it the entire night.
Heidi Klum: You HOST Project Runway? Am I being Punked? WTF are you wearing??? Shame on you, Klum, shame shame shame.
And now...for the Best Dressed! They saved the show, thankfully.
Eva Longoria: Divorce does a body good. She looked phenomenal and this black dress was so chic. I wish you could see the back - it's a stunner.
Emma Stone: I had to do a double take because I didn't even know this was her! She looks like a blonde bombshell and I *love* how she can rock the red and the blonde hair. The color of this dress is so complimentary to her newly-tanned skin tone. The backless dress was such a popular one this year and almost all of the dresses ended up on my Best Dressed list.
Anne Hathaway: When I first saw this dress, I didn't know how I felt about it - then she turned around and it won me over. I'm a sucker for backless dresses and sequins in general. I love how sophisticated this dress is from the front and what a pleasant surprise the back is when she turns around. She looked incredible.
Angelina Jolie: I've never been a huge fan of Angie. I'm totally Team Jenn, but I have to give it to her. She looks gorgeous in this emerald sequin number. Simple hair, simple make up, and no jewelry... it all works perfectly with this showstopping dress.
Megan Fox: She looks like an mini-Angelina Jolie. Sultry, sexy, and poised...she looks so put together and this is one of the best looks I have ever seen her in. She looks elegant and breath-taking and I hope to see more looks like this from her in the future.
